Caption: 23 September 141 B.C. was the official founding of the Fourth Kingdom of Bible prophecy. (1 Maccabees 13:41-42).  The Hasmonean Empire's final four prominent figures, namely King Matityahu Antigonus II, High John Hyrcanus II, High Priest Jonathan Aristobulus III, and even Herod the Great's very own wife, Queen Mariamne the Hasmonean (who happened to be the granddaughter of John Hyrcanus II and sister of Jonathan Aristobulus III), all met their demise through execution. Herod, a well-known murderer, was responsible for these unjust actions.  It should be noted that Herod was also the individual who attempted to harm our Lord as an infant.
