Don't Miss Life

I have given thanks many times for a childhood revelation in which I was shown that this present life is very short in comparison with eternity.  Indeed, this life is "is few of days and full of trouble.”  There are no exceptions to this for either the poor or the rich.  In view of this we must decide how we shall live out our few days.  It makes sense to me that on an individual basis the very best that I can do is to focus on living with as much love as possible.

There is a strong resistance to love in all of us and we need to realize that and not allow ourself to fall victim to the self-centeredness, drama, and trivia that governs the multitudes.  God’s grace is constantly seeking to bring us back to His kingdom which is wholly governed by love.  Will we respond or will we resist?  That very ugly ego we all must deal with can only be truly overcome by a revelation of God’s love.  Evil is not overcome by dwelling continually on it but rather by pouring love into the world.  John Wesley said it so well, “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”  Let us all be in prayer for greater revelations of His love with every passing by.  We have no time to lose.
